The walk will be led by Environmental Education Officer and fungi enthusiast, Abi (they/them) and will involve a variety of topics such as:
- Fungi identification: How to and top tips
- the roles of fungi in a forest ecosystem
- What can we learn from fungi?
- The importance of fungi in relation to the climate crisis
The walk will be at a leisurely pace, ensuring we have enough time to focus on and photograph each species observed.
This is not a foraging walk. We will not be picking any mushrooms as it is against the byelaws of Epping Forest.
