Chatterbooks Book Club

Chatterbooks are coming to North Chingford Library from January 2024!

.Are you aged between 7-11 years old?

Love books and reading?

Enjoy talking about your favourite books?

Then this free event is for you! All reading abilities are welcome and children must be accompanied by their adults

Chatterbooks book clubs are run in partnership with The Reading Agency and are an opportunity to develop a child’s love of books in a friendly and supervised environment.

The Chatterbooks Club at North Chingford Library will meet from 2pm to 3pm on the first Saturday of every month. The club is for children aged 7-11.

Typical sessions will involve a theme, such as Adventure or Funny Stories.

Children will build their confidence by briefly talking about books they’ve been reading since the last meeting. Activities and games will be based on the session’s theme with relaxed discussions and shared ideas about books.

Children will choose a book to take home and read for the next Chatterbooks meeting and will help decide the next theme.
