Autistic pride day

This event will now take place inside the Town Hall foyer.

Friday 17 June, from 3pm to 5.30pm at Waltham Forest Town Hall

There will be an event at Fellowship Square with information available from key council services and partners. There will also be fun activities including a pop-up library, the toy library and lots of fountain fun with lights, splashing and music!

The Fellowship Foods café will also be open for food and drink.

Activities will include:

  • Pop-up library
  • Toy library with toys and bubbles
  • Lego building station
  • Drawing space
  • Discussion area focused on “what makes you proud to be you?”
  • Autistic Pride inspired music playlist
  • Live music performance

There will be information stalls by:

  • Early Years Service
  • Children’s and Families Centres
  • Adult Learning Service
  • Carers First
  • NELFT
  • Waltham Forest Parent Carer Forum

Learning disabilities week celebration

Monday 20 June, from 1pm to 6pm at Fellowship Square, Waltham Forest Town Hall

There will be an event at Fellowship Square with information available from key council services and partners. There will also be fun activities including the toy library, arts and crafts, food and lots of fountain fun with lights, splashing and music!

Activities will include:

  • Toy library with toys and bubbles
  • Lego building station
  • Drawing space
  • Discussion area focused on “what makes you proud to be you?”
  • Gentle exercise session
  • Arts and Crafts by Markhouse Road Day Opportunities
  • Sponsored walk around Chestnut Fields by Acorn Day Opportunities

There will be information stalls by:

  • Early Years Service
  • Children’s and Families Centres
  • SEND Service
  • Adult Learning Service
  • Carers First
  • Waltham Forest Parent Carer Forum
  • Acorn Day Opportunities

Sports for confidence

There will be a free multi-sports session at the Feel Good Centre on Wednesday 22 June from 1pm to 2pm

BikeWorks: all ability cycling sessions

Saturday 18 June, 9am to 5pm in Leyton Jubilee Park (Marsh Lane entrance, E107BL)

This will be an extended session running with Tour de Waltham Forest from 9am to 5pm.

Saturday 25 June 10am to 12pm, Higham Hill Park, we will set up at the Hetcham Close entrance to the park, E17 5PX.

The Together Space

Sunday 19 June from 10am to 12pm at Gnome House.

This is a pop-up event with lots of inclusive activities for children and families.
