Booster vaccinations

Help protect yourself this winter with your Covid-19 booster

Last updated: 1 February 2023

Having your Covid-19 booster jab could be the crucial difference between you and your loved ones becoming seriously ill this winter.

Even if you have had all your Covid-19 vaccinations, or had the virus itself, it is really important you get the booster as your immunity decreases over time and the latest vaccine provides extra protection against newer variants of the virus.

Our Tea, Talk and Covid events are running throughout the winter months with pop-up clinics where you can drop in for your autumn booster vaccine. Come and join us for free tea, coffee and refreshments during the event. Whether you have any questions about Covid or need help with booking your vaccine, our friendly team will be happy to help.

You can have a seasonal booster dose (autumn booster) of the Covid-19 vaccine if you are:

  • aged 50 or over
  • pregnant
  • aged 5 and over and at high risk from Covid-19 due to a health condition or a weakened immune system
  • aged 5 and over and live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • aged 16 and over and a carer, either paid or unpaid
  • living or working in a care home for older people
  • a frontline health and social care worker
