With a Council Tax Connect account, you can:
- check your account balance
- view your bills and payment history
- update your address
- set up or change a Direct Debit
- apply for any discounts, reductions or exemptions
- arrange payment plans for outstanding amounts
How to register for an account
Step 1
Fill in the form. You'll need to include your personal details and create a password.
Step 2
Activate and log into your account by clicking on the link in the email we send you.
Step 3
Log in to your Connect account and go to 'My Services' .
Enter your Council Tax reference number (starts with the number 4 or 7).
You’ll need to answer security questions using details from your latest bill, such as:
- Council Tax account number
- postcode
- phone number
- last payment amount
- payment due date
- your bank account number (if paying by Direct Debit)
If you can’t answer the security questions, select 'I do not have enough information to continue' to request a secure PIN.
You will receive an email within 72 hours with your PIN and instructions on how to access your online account.
Step 4
Choose your preferred eBilling option.
Click 'Show details' to view your account.
Getting help with your account
If you do not get an activation email
Check your junk or spam folder.
If you do not receive your Council Tax PIN
It may take up to 72 hours to arrive. Check your junk or spam folder.
If you need to make a payment
You can pay online without a Connect account.
If you forget your username
We’ll only send a reminder if you enter the correct email linked to your account.
If you forget your password
A reset email is sent if you enter the correct username and security answer.
Password reset email links expire after 24 hours.
If you cannot access your account
If you’ve followed these steps and still can’t access your Connect account, complete the query form to report an issue.
