Who we are and what we do?
This notice relates to data collected under the Warm Homes Social Housing Fund (WHSHF) scheme run by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). The scheme provides funding for energy efficiency measures to be installed in social housing with the aim to reduce energy bills and cut carbon emissions.

Why we need your information and how we use it?
Your data will be processed to meet the requirements of the government grant. Waltham Forest will share data with Warmer Homes London (WHL) an organisation hosted by London Councils which oversees the Strategic Partnership. WHL will collate the data and share with the grant funders, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and their partner IFF Research and Technopolis (for analysis and quality checks).
Purposes of processing your data include:
To meet our requirements under the London Social Housing Fund Strategic Partnership & requirements to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) as funders for the retrofit work

Public task: The processing is necessary to perform a task in the public interest or for our official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law.

How long we will keep your information
The council will retain any data created or collected for reporting purposes under the Warm Homes Wave 3 project for 6 years. The Council will continue to hold personal data (i.e. name, address, contact details) on our core housing systems as part of usual business operations.
Warmer Homes London will keep your data for 4 years, following the closure of Warm Homes Social Housing Fund.
The Department for Energy Security Net Zero will keep your data for 7 years.
