Who we are and what we do

The London Borough of Waltham Forest has commissioned Get Skills Employment and Training Ltd (Get Set UK) to launch the Temporary Accommodation Employment Pilot Programme. This initiative is designed to support individuals living in temporary housing by providing them with valuable employment and training opportunities. The goal is to help these residents build skills and secure jobs, enabling them to transition into permanent and more stable housing.

With the consent of participants in the Temporary Accommodation Employment Pilot Programme, the Council will share individuals' information with Get Skills Employment and Training Ltd (Get Set UK). This will include

  • Email 
  • Contact Telephone Number 

As part of the Temporary Accommodation Employment Pilot Programme, the mission is to provide comprehensive support for individuals living in temporary accommodation. The focus is on enhancing their employability by connecting them with valuable training opportunities designed to equip them with essential job market skills. By doing so, the aim to help participants secure stable employment, increase their income, and ultimately transform their lives.

The Council's Temporary Accommodation Employment Pilot Programme will help individuals gain essential job skills while promoting long-term growth. Through employment, we aim to foster stability and independence for those facing temporary housing challenges.

The personal data collected will be used to customise services provided and fulfil funding requirements. The following information will be gathered:

  • Name

  • Email Address
  • Date of Birth 
  • Post Code 
  • Employment Status 
  • Ethnicity 
  • Disability Classification 
  • Parental/ Care Status 

It will remain confidential and not be shared with any parties outside Get Skills Employment and Training Ltd (Get Set UK) and the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The data will be used exclusively to assess the programme's effectiveness.

The Council will only process contract monitoring information, which excludes all identifiable data. 

Why we need your information and how we use it

Get Skills Employment and Training Ltd (Get Set UK) need this information to monitor the service's impact. 

It is essential for effectively managing programme participation, personalising experiences, improving service effectiveness, identifying skill gaps and understand employment barriers for individuals in temporary accommodation.

The lawful basis for the processing

our participation in this project and the processing of your data is based on your consent. If participants decide to withdraw their consent at any time, Get Skills Employment and Training Ltd (Get Set UK) will promptly and securely delete their personal data to ensure their privacy and confidentiality are protected.

Who your information will be shared with (if applicable)

The Council will not share any data collected that can identify any individual during their participation in this programme.

How long we will keep your information

The Council will keep the contract monitoring data for a period of two years.
