Who we are and what we do

The Stronger Communities directorate seeks to improve lives of residents as part of Mission Waltham Forest goals. We have partnered with SIGNAL to make available a self-assessment strength-based questionnaire for residents to participate in.

The initial pilot will focus on three areas:

  1. Residents who have been involved in Family Group Conferencing (FGC) for adults
  2. Residents who are attached to the Connect to Work employment programme
  3. Residents who approach our Family Engagement Advisers for support

Why we need your information and how we use it

We are looking to:

  • Seek the residents' view of where they feel they are today against indicators spanning six dimensions: Income and Employment, Education and Culture, Health and Environment, Housing and Infrastructure, Organisation and Participation, and Interiority and Motivation.
  • Build a Life map to reflect on responses and opens-up dialogue and insight to what matters to the resident and aspirations they have.
  • Follow up measures, journey and achievements
  • Collect meaningful data (data and narrative become meaningful to the resident, worker and the council)

The Lawful basis for the processing

The lawful basis in the SIGNAL pilots will be consent by the resident.

  1. Consent: The individual has given clear consent for you to process their personal data for a specific purpose.

The resident can opt out of the SIGNAL project at any time.
