The Healthy Start vitamin scheme is a universal offer that Waltham Forest Public Health team commissioned for residents of Waltham Forest.

Why we need your information and how we use it?
The Council will only receive the above-mentioned information about you for the purposes of Contract Monitoring. Collecting this data is important to monitoring that service we provide is fair, equitable and addresses existing health inequalities.
BARTS, Tower Hamlet Care Group, Homerton Hospital and Waltham Forest Family hubs are the distributors of the vitamins. They collect, process, and retain contact details for the members, to provide the service. The providers also collect, process, and retain the demographic information on members’ age, ethnicity and postcode to monitor that the service is equitable.
The Lawful basis for the processing
The legal basis for processing your personal data is established under Article 6(1)(e) Public Task where the “processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller”
Who your information will be shared with (if applicable)
The Council will not share any data collected during your participation in this project. Data remains between the council and the NHS.
How long we will keep your information
The Council will retain the contract monitoring data for the duration of the contract plus six years.
