Who we are and what we do?
We aim to deliver to most user friendly and user focused digital public website. We are committed to using your feedback to continually develop and continuously improve our digital offer.
To do this we have a:
- "Was this page helpful?" feature on the bottom of every web page on this website
- feedback form that is displayed when you complete one of our GovService forms
This privacy notice explains what personal information we collect about you, how and why we use it, who we disclose it to, and how we protect your privacy when you use the feedback tool.
We comply with our legal obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 and the Data Protection Act 2018 when using your personal information.
Information we hold about you
When you use one of our feedback methods we record:
- the webpage or web form you were using when you decided to leave feedback
- whether the you found the page or form useful or not
- details of the web browser and type of device you were using at the time
- whatever feedback you left
Why we need your information and how we use it
We do not collect any personal information about the person leaving feedback.
People are not asked to leave any personal data. If a person chooses to enter personal data, it will be removed before their feedback data is acted on.
The Lawful basis for the processing
We process data based on consent.
We assume that you have given your consent for us to process your feedback and share it with relevant council officers because you chose to leave feedback.
You can withdraw this consent at any point by contacting web.site@walthamforest.gov.uk.
Who your information will be shared with (if applicable)
Your data is used by staff working in the relevant council service area, that relate to your feedback and comments.
We will not share your information with any organisation outside of the Council.
How long we will keep your information
We will keep any written feedback you left for 3 years.
After that period, we will dispose of it in a secure manner.
