Who we are and what we do

The economic disruption caused by Covid-19 resulted in major difficulties for many businesses across the Borough. As part of our response and longer-term plans to deliver an Inclusive Economy, we are using a proportion of our Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) Top Up funding (awarded by the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy, BEIS), to deliver a range of business support activities to help the business community in recovery, connectedness, resilience, growth and prosperity via a business support programme.

We have partnered with two service providers, CRATE and Newable, to support local businesses to survive and pivot towards economic recovery, growth and sustainability, through a programme of tailored business support.   Please note the programme launched on 13 December 2021 and will run until 29 April 2022.
