Privacy notice for coping through football.

Who we are and what we do

The Coping Through Football project is an initiative between NELFT and the charity London Playing Fields Foundation (LPFF) to produce a sustainable recovery approach to engage with and improve the wellbeing of adults and young people experiencing mental health issues.

LPFF work closely with NELFT who are the clinicians that do the assessment with service users. LPFF are the contract holders and deliver the football aspect of the service. The information collected/processed/retained by NELFT who share non-patient identifiable data with LPFF to enable performance monitoring of the Coping Through Football project and to demonstrate its impact on the health and wellbeing of service users.   

The aim is to use the football experience to get fitter, increase levels of self-esteem and confidence, make new friends and ultimately help people get their lives back on track.

Information we hold about you

Data is collected and held electronically by NELFT in accordance with their data protection policies and procedures. This is because NELFT delivers the clinical aspect of the project and do the assessments with each client. LPFF are the contract holders as they deliver the non-clinical aspect, football training of the service users

The Council will only process contract monitoring information, which excludes all identifiable data. 

Why we need your information and how we use it

The Council will only process contract monitoring information, which excludes all identifiable data.  We need this information for the purpose of monitoring the impact of the service.

The lawful basis for the processing

Participation in this project and the processing of your data is based on your consent. You will be asked to sign a service user agreement where you consent that the data "may be used anonymously for audit and research purposes".

Who your information will be shared with (if applicable)

The Council will not share any data collected during your participation in this project.

How long we will keep your information

The Council will retain the contract monitoring data for the duration of the contract plus six years.
