What are PNA’s and how are they used?

All local authorities have a statutory duty to review local Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) every three years. PNAs contains information about current pharmacies in the local area the services they provide, and identify gaps or areas of improvement.  The PNA will be used by the NHS to make decisions around what NHS-funded services should be provided by pharmacies in Waltham Forest. It is also used when deciding if applications to provide new  or changes to pharmaceutical services should be granted in the borough.
