All permits, except visitor permits and temporary 1 month resident permits, and resident trader permits can be refunded on a pro-rata basis for each full month still to run on the permit subject to a £10 admin fee.
Please see the following scenario as an example;
Permit holders can be reimbursed on a pro-rata basis for each full month still to run on the permit. That is if an annual permit was purchased on the 1 March and returned for refund on the 25 May the refund would be 9/12 of the fee paid less the £10 fee as there would be 9 full months still to run on the permit. Please note that refunds are applied for with a cheque being sent to the permit holder.

Please note that refunds are issued through the online account to the card that the payment was made with.
If you have paid by cheque, postal order or your payment card has expired, you will be given a refund by cheque. See the relevant permit page for service fee charges.
