Vehicles parked within electric vehicle bays (and charging) are not subject to any additional charges.
Permit Parking
In order to park in permit bays within Waltham Forest your vehicle must hold a valid residential or business permit, alternatively you can display a visitor permit or display a valid blue badge.
Enforcement in residential permit parking bays will be suspended on Bank Holidays, however footways, double yellow lines and specified parking bays (for a particular purpose) will be enforced as usual.
Cashless Parking
You can pay to park without using cash in parking bays and car parks owned by the council. You won’t need to display anything in your vehicle as civil enforcement officers will use your vehicle registration number to check how much time you have to park.
There are various cashless parking bays located throughout the borough, visit the on-street cashless parking bay locations webpage.
You can use a debit or credit card to pay for parking over the phone, online, at your nearest PayPoint outlet or some pay and display machines.
