Waltham Forest Council has extended its offer of free Resident Traders Permits until the 18 October 2021 so that households that experienced damage in July’s flooding have plenty of opportunity to have the damage repaired.

In late July, the Council announced its offer of free traders permits to help residents get back on their feet after more than a month’s rain fell in just a few hours on Sunday 25 July. Each property in the borough is eligible to claim for free two months of Resident Traders Permits, to allow workers to access properties and carry out repairs. The deadline to apply for the permits has now been extended until the 18 October 2021 so that households have more time to recover and make repairs.

Resident traders permits can be applied for by CPZ residents on behalf of trades-persons engaged in work at their home address.

  • A written contract, work-sheet or quote for you or your company to carry out the work, unless you own or manage the property.

Waltham Forest Council retains the right to carry our random checks on permits in order to check the information supplied in the application.
