Interested parties are advised the planning application to redevelop The Mall Shopping Centre (ref. 171355) will be heard at a planning committee meeting at 7pm on Wednesday 13 December.
Open to the public, the meeting will be held in the Assembly Hall, adjacent to Waltham Forest Town Hall. This meeting has been postponed from late November as further information was required by the Mayor of London on the proposals, which necessitated putting the date back by two weeks..
The planning application proposes the redevelopment of the Mall Shopping Centre which includes an extension to the existing shopping complex, a new remodelled Town Square and the construction of up to 502 residential units.
The meeting will follow the normal process prescribed for planning committee held in public.
Time will be allocated for interested parties to address the committee. Details on how people can register to speak will be posted to those who have previously submitted comments on the application and also displayed on site notices posted approximately 10 days before the meeting.
Cllr Simon Miller, Cabinet Member for High Streets and Regeneration, said: “We are providing additional publicity in this case as we are keen that interested parties are aware of the date of this special planning committee and are able to attend if they wish.”
