Health and Wellbeing during the Christmas period

Now more than ever, looking after our mental health and personal wellbeing is crucial. The Christmas period can be a difficult time of year for some people at the best of times, and with the added stresses of the pandemic, it is vital to access support early if you feel you need it, and look out for loved ones too. The following services are available if you need someone to talk to

  • Waltham Forest Talking Therapies support people who may be feeling anxious or depressed
  • Good Samaritans on 116 123 can listen if you are worried or need to talk
  • Kooth provide emotional counselling for young people aged 13-24 online. They are available everyday online including Christmas day
  • Good Thinking website. Offer support to Londoners on a wide range of mental health issues including sleep, stress, low mood and anxiety
  • Waltham Forest residents who are worried about money or need free, impartial advice, can get support. Find more information through our Financial assistance for residents pages

Positive East’s full range of services closes at 1.30pm Thursday 24 December 2020 and reopen at 10.30am Monday 4 January 2021.
