Dog fouling

If you see someone allowing their dog to foul on a public street without cleaning up afterwards, please report it to us.

We'll try to identify the dog owner and fine them. We'll also clean up the mess.

Report dog fouling

Report dog fouling when you're on the go

We’ve made it even easier for you to report dog fouling when you're out and about.

Use our brand new chatbots on Facebook /walthamforestcouncil or Twitter

You can also use it to report fly posting and fly tipping.

When will we clean it up?

If it’s:

  • on a public street, we’ll clean it on the normal street cleaning day
  • in a children’s play area, we’ll clean it within 24 hours
  • in a park or open space, we’ll clear it on the next scheduled cleaning day (parks are cleaned a minimum of 3 times a week)

Guide dogs for the blind are exempt whilst they're working.

Dog owners: after you've bagged up your dog's mess, you can put it in any of our street litter bins. We don't have separate dog waste bins.
