NOTICE UNDER SECTION 123(2A) OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE LAND

Land between the eastern concrete access ramp and the car park at Sycamore House on Chestnuts Field shown shaded in orange within the orange dotted line on the plans (“the Land”)

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Waltham Forest proposes, in accordance with s123 of the Local Government Act 1972, to dispose of the Land (approx. 2,600 sqm) which is public open space by long lease to Countryside Properties UK LTD to enable the development of new residential units, including affordable housing and landscaping via public realm improvements at Fellowship Square.
     
  2. The plan of the Land is available to view online for inspection or by appointment at London Borough of Waltham Forest, Town Hall, Forest Road, London, E17 4JF between 9am and 4pm or can be sent electronically upon request. Please contact propertyenquiries@walthamforest.gov.uk to make an appointment to inspect the plan or to request an electronic copy of the plan.
     
  3. Before making any further decision of the proposed disposal of the Land the Council will consider any objections or written representations received. All objections or written representations should be in writing to the Commercial Director, Property and Delivery, London Borough of Waltham Forest, Town Hall, Fellowship Square, Forest Road, London, E17 4JF. Alternatively, representations can be submitted by email to propertyenquiries@walthamforest.gov.uk, quoting reference (Fellowship Square) and must arrive no later than Thursday 26 August.
