Consultation on our new Dementia Strategy

The Council have led the development of a multi-agency dementia strategy for the borough which has now been reviewed and refreshed based on our learning from the Covid-19 Pandemic.  We now seek the views of our residents and particularly those who are, or have been, affected by dementia.

The strategy has been structured to include a series of questions that will guide our residents and service users.  Gaining the views and real-life experience of people affected by dementia, and those who will be using our services is an important step in making sure that we get the strategy right for the borough now and in the future.

As well as this online consultation, our dementia outreach services will be supporting service users and their carers to complete the consultation as part of their support, and we will ensure that copies are available to be completed in our dementia hub in Leyton.

We will be seeking to carryout additional public engagement events as part of this process and will establish suitable approaches to public engagement within the boundaries of what can be undertaken under the current Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions.

For anyone willing to contribute their views, please download a copy of the consultation using the following link:

Residents can access a very brief online survey to give their views on the local issues and strategic priorities for the Dementia Strategy.
