October is Black History Month and we’re celebrating with a range of events for families including art exhibitions, storytelling, musical workshops, a chance to meet local black artists and authors, and more!
Councillor Vicky te Velde, Equalities Commissioner for the London Borough of Waltham Forest, said:
“Black History Month is a chance for us to celebrate black culture and our history in Waltham Forest and across the world. I want to thank the Council’s Race Equality Network for organising such a rich variety of educational, cultural and social events for residents, showcasing the work of local black artists, performers, authors and our whole community. I hope to see you at the events in our libraries this October.”
