Leaseholders and people living in flats Click to get info
If you don't own the whole of your property, for example if you are a leaseholder not a freeholder, or you live in a flat, you will need to advise the owner/part owner and any leaseholders of any works that you intend to carry out.
You will generally need to complete a Certificate of Ownership with your application. Further guidance is provided on page 2 of the local validation requirements list.
You will also need to ensure that you have completed the correct certificate (Certificate of Ownership) when you complete your application form.
