Community food hubs across the borough can help you access free or affordable food if you need it.
Some hubs may require a referral from a professional, such as a social worker or social housing officer, while others do not need a referral. Each hub has its own process – find more information on their websites or by contacting them directly.
Here are some of the key hubs in Waltham Forest:
The Hornbeam Centre is a Community Food Hub who run a weekly Solidarity Supermarket on Mondays from 4pm to 6pm. Shoppers can purchase groceries, wholefoods, spices, ethical cleaning products and surplus food. The Supermarket has a tiered pricing structure to offer help to anyone struggling with the cost of living. Contact admin@hornbeam.org.uk with any questions.
