Where we are in Waltham Forest

Information Sharing, The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) and Lead Professional have now become central to the early intervention and preventative strategy of identifying, understanding and meeting additional needs of children and young people in Waltham Forest.

This an exciting time for the CAF Team and we have seen many developments over the last six months these changes include:

  • The team has moved into Extended Services and this has help build positive relationships with early years services and strengthened partnerships with the private and voluntary sector
  • Introduction of a new CAF team around the child meeting and lead professional guidance from the Children’s Workforce Development Council
  • The team offers a variety of post training support including practitioner network meetings, briefings, question and answer sessions. For further information and bookings please visit our post training support page
  • Revised Information Sharing Guidance
  • On-going multi agency training is always on offer
  • Quarterly Practitioner network meetings, relating to the CAF information sharing and lead professional offers a great forum to discuss practice, success stories and gain advice on challenges. For details on how to join.please visit our post training support page
