Crime, Disorder and Drugs Strategy 2005/08
We have a legal duty to prepare an audit and strategy once every three years as set out in the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act. The audit provides us with the evidence we need to complete a strategy which is most likely to reduce crime, disorder and drugs in the Borough. In completing our audit, we have drawn upon data from a wide range of sources including Police reported crime (from the Metropolitan and British Transport Police), the British Crime Survey which is completed by people based upon their experiences of crime and regardless of whether they actually reported the crimes, surveys with local residents, data from the ambulance and fire services, the Council, and other key partners including housing associations and the voluntary sector.
