Summer crime prevention in the Town Square

22 July: The Community Safety Team will be setting up shop in Walthamstow Town Square on Wednesday 28 July from 10am-4pm, offering information, advice and freebies to help residents keep themselves and their property safe through the summer months.

Government admits Waltham Forest will suffer more than most

Grants for filmmakers

16 July: Apex Arts is offering three grants of up to £3,000 for filmmakers living or working in Waltham Forest as part of its Hitchcock Production Fund. The deadline for submission is midday on Monday 16 August 2010.

Postcards From The Park

14 July: Avid snappers with a love for Waltham Forest’s parks and green spaces have the opportunity to win a £1,000 Jessops voucher with a Heritage Lottery Fund photo competition. Finalists will have their pics exhibited at a London gallery and have their entries turned into postcards.
