The Great Enfield Daffodil Ride
Guided cycle ride through some of the finest Enfield parks to see Daffodils in bloom; 25 mile round trip; easy pace; about four hours cycling; packed or cafe lunch in Trent Country Park. Suitable for anyone able to ride a bicycle on the road and for children 12 years and over with decent bikes minimum 24 inch wheels; under 16s accompanied by a responsible adult. Free.

Pits and Banks
Led by Georgina Green, a chance to explore this northern part of Epping Forest and to find out something of its long and varied history. These walks are free and are led by experienced walk leaders, some are a gentle stroll while others are taken at a faster pace. Please come suitably dressed for walking in the Forest, which can be wet and muddy. Suitable for children. Bed wall clearance at Middlesex Filter Beds
Reveal the hidden industrial heritage of Middlesex Filter Beds by removing encroaching vegetation to help preserve the heritage and integrity of the beds walls. Tools, training, gloves, tea/coffee and biscuits provided. Please bring your own lunch. Wear suitable clothing for the weather and the task and stout boots or wellingtons. Map and compass skills course
This course is intended for those with little or no experience of map reading and using a compass. It will start from the basics of map and compass work and build a series of skills which will enable you to get from place to place. Based in Epping Forest it will not provide you with all the skills to walk in the wilds of Scotland, but will allow you to feel more confident to walk in lowland areas. Not suitable for children. Growing Unusual Sub-Tropical Vegetables
Share your experience of, or interest in, growing sub-tropical vegetables such as Kudu gourds from Bangladesh or Calalloo from Jamaica. Taking place in the Organiclea Hawkwood glasshouses where seed saving and creating our own local seed bank of sub-tropical plant varieties will be discussed. Suitable for children with adult supervision. An outdoor site with varying degrees of access.

Guided walk in Epping Forest
This guided walk will explore the variety of habitats and the scenery of Epping Forest. There will be time to observe the natural history around you and find out more about the local area. En-route we will visit some of our favourite places off the beaten track. The walk will be approximately 5 miles (8km) but will depend on the nature of the group and the weather. The pace of walking will be leisurely, although a basic level of fitness will be assumed. There will be stops for lunch and breaks. Please bring your own packed lunch and drinks. Participants will need to be dressed suitably (including waterproofs) for walking all day and wear appropriate footwear. Not suitable for children.
