Faith and the environment

Faith and the environment is a programme of free training for faith leaders and members of all faiths interested to learn about working within their faith to save energy and tackle climate change running in Waltham Forest in March.

Any faith leader or project worker is welcome to attend one of three sessions (in the afternoons and evening). These discussion workshops will offer advice on how to:

  • Take practical steps to save money through saving energy (the aim is to save 10% in the first year) in faith buildings
  • Link environmental issues with the key beliefs of your faith
  • Work with your congregations to help them make savings and improve their environment

There will also be a separate session aimed at faith building managers.

All participants get a free information pack. Exhibition: Tudors

The Tudor and early Stuart age was a period of great change and development, not only in religion, but also in the arts, sciences, politics and fashion. This exhibition explores the aspects of this legacy by featuring a number of important local history connections such as the magnificent houses of Hill Hall and Copped Hall, as well as telling the histories of a number of influential individuals, like Elizabeth I courtier, Sir Thomas Heneage, and Protestant Martyr, John Foxe
