Records of land maintained by the Council as part of the public highway, private streets, footpaths, shop forecourts etc.
We are also responsible for providing names for new streets and for the numbering or naming of new properties in the area. The authority will assign street names and numbers and provide public utilities, emergency services, Land Registry, Ordnance Survey and relevant Council services with a copy of the naming/numbering schedule.
Other records held
Records of Epping Forest land, underground electricity supply cables, main gas pipelines, sewers and drainage routes. However, any enquiries of a technical nature must be directed to the appropriate service provider.
