• Complete and return an application form with the appropriate fee.
  • Once approved the permit will be returned with conditions attached to you with the permit number.
  • A deposit for use of highway may be required, this is returnable once the job has been completed less an administration fee of 5%.
  • Ensure that by the date the permit expires you have either had the scaffolding removed or renewed/extended the permit.
  • Attach authorisation in protective cover to scaffolding in a visible place.

Please note the application will take 3-4 days to process prior to approval.

A visit/inspection will be carried out by staff and a deposit may be required.

It is an offence to place scaffolding on the highway without permission - breaking the law could result in confiscation of the scaffolding and court action against both the hirer of the scaffolding and the scaffolding company itself
