The Council encourages developers to implement workplace travel plans as part of their development proposals. It also requires them to provide cycling facilities to and around the site and that cycle parking is provided according to fixed standards.
The Council will also use its influence in negotiations with neighbouring boroughs to improve cycle facilities at major new developments such as Stratford, so that good cycle access by residents in Waltham Forest is provided.
