Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band and Pauline Black
Live on stage we have soul and ska legends Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band and Pauline Black formally of ska legends The Selector.
Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band had two of the biggest selling UK albums of the 60s. Hand Clappin, Foot Stompin, Funky Butt Live was in the album charts for 48 weeks. Geno was propelled back in to public attention when Dexys Midnight Runners took the tribute track "Geno" to the top of the charts in the 80s.
The Selector graced the Two Tone label giving us ska classics such as “Too Much Pressure” and “On My Radio”. Since her days as a “rude girl” Pauline has pursued a variety of music and acting projects. She won the Time Out Best Actress Award in 1990 for her portrayal of jazz singer ’Billie Holiday’. Pauline performs a set of songs culled from her recorded work on ‘The Trojan Songbooks Vols 1-3’ and favourite songs that she has recorded throughout her long career
Rolling Stone Magazine 2006, "Hands down, Pauline Black possessed the best voice that ever graced a 2-Tone release. Blessed with a bewitching soprano and dramatic panache". A performance not to be missed!
Time Out 2007 – “Pauline is a musical force to be reckoned with.”
