The London Borough of Waltham Forest offers a Free removal and disposal service for residents who no longer want their vehicles.
There are two ways that this can be done.
You can take your vehicle with the registration document and proof of residency (utility bill, tenancy agreement etc.) directly to our contractor:

OR
On receipt of a letter from the owner authorising its removal and disposal, WalthamForest will arrange for our contractor to collect the vehicle, generally within 24 hours (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays).
The letter needs to include the following information for the council to remove the vehicle:
- Details of vehicle – colour, make, model and registration number.
- Location of vehicle – stating whether there are any access problems.
- Daytime contact telephone number – in case we need to contact you.
- Vehicle registration document to be included with the letter.
All items of personal property must be removed along with any valid tax disc.
In both cases, the Council and its contractor will inform the DVLA on behalf of the owner.
