Transport plays an important part in our lives.

We now travel more than ever before, which has resulted in more cars on the road. But more car use can damage our health, safety, the environment and our future prosperity.

The pages below list ways in which the Council is working towards reducing car dependency.

CCTV parking and traffic enforcement

Waltham Forest is making positive moves to improve safety on the borough’s roads. Statistics show that we are reducing the number of casualties each year through education and traffic management. The enforcement of parking restrictions and moving traffic violations is seen as an important tool to help maintain the positive steps already made. See CCTV parking and traffic enforcement.
