We have a range of initiatives such as tension monitoring and the use of groups such as the Community Cohesion Task Group and the Faith Communities Forum.  We work closely with our different communities to promote tolerance and respect.

Young Muslim Leaders (YML) Programme

Active Change Foundation (ACF)

Established in 2003 to create stronger links with government authorities for fund raising purposes and to influence policy on a national level.

Key to their community involvement is their unique approach summed up as ‘Chaos management’ a term ACF uses for dealing with disorder amongst disaffected communities.

ACF have worked extensively with the Council and other agencies to secure confidence and build good relations in the community through the YML and other youth programmes.
