The Drug Action Team (DAT) is responsible for delivering preventative and treatment interventions for young people and adults, making treatment services more accessible to offenders to help reduce their drug use and involvement in crime.
We aim to ensure
- A sustainable reduction in drug-related harm
- Fewer people develop drug problems
- That we can intervene early to prevent and reduce harms caused by drugs to those most at risk
- That those who do have drug problems receive the effective treatment and support they need
- That communities are relieved of drug-related crime and anti-social behaviour
