Young People’s Substance Use Early Intervention and Prevention Strategy

The Young People’s Early Intervention and Prevention Strategy aims to improve outcomes for young people with substance related needs through:

  • Increasing the numbers making informed choices about their use of drugs and alcohol.
  • Reduce the harm caused to young people by their own problematic drug and/or alcohol use.
  • Reduce the harm caused to young people by other people’s problematic drug and/or alcohol use.

The strategy is delivered in partnership with key agencies that work with children and young people and targets work with those who are most vulnerable to problematic drug and/or alcohol use.
