Frank Charles, a Waltham Forest Council streetwarden, has been shortlisted for the ’Council Worker of the Year Award’ by the Local Government Association and needs your vote to make sure he wins the trophy.
The Council nominated Frank for the award in recognition of his excellent work and is appealing for staff to rally round and get voting.
He is a well-known face around Waltham Forest and carries out an enormous amount of community work in addition to his role tackling crime and disorder as a street warden.
This work includes organising reading clubs, football coaching sessions and the Give a Gift Appeal for sick children at Christmas. Frank also runs activities for older residents.
