Waltham Forest Council believes that local post offices are vital to strong city communities.

Post Office Ltd’s consultation period for post office closures in Waltham Forest ended on Wednesday 2 April.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the Council’s Save Waltham Forest Post Offices campaign.

There was a fantastic response, with nearly 3000 residents filling in postcards, sending back the coupon from wfm or filling in the petition on the Downing Street website.

The Council has submitted a detailed response to Post Office Ltd, outlining how closures will affect local people.

Even though the consultation period has ended, you can still have your say.  The petition on the Downing Street web site will remain open, so you can let the Prime Minister know how you feel.
