The organic waste recycling service for kitchen and garden waste is available to all street properties with frontage to store the containers in Waltham Forest.
The garden and food waste that residents place in their brown wheeled bin is taken to London Waste at Edmonton where it is composted. The compost is made available for residents to bag and collect free of charge a number of times a year. If you would be interested in collecting some of the compost please email anita.starling@walthamforest.gov.uk for details.
The following containers are available to residents:
- 1 x 140 litre brown wheeled bin and caddy for kitchen waste, or
- 2 x 60 litre reusable bags, if you do not have room for a brown bin. These bags are for green waste only and must not be used for kitchen waste, or
- Kitchen caddy only
