Free swimming for under 18's in the borough's leisure centres
During school holidays
Free swimming for under 18's (members only) is available from Monday to Saturday before 10am at all pools in the borough, programme permitting. For more information see Under 18 and live in Waltham Forest
NB: On Saturdays Leyton Leisure Lagoon free swimming session is between 10.30am and 1pm
Term Time
During term time free swimming is available on Saturdays only before 10am

At all other times (programme permitting) the Kids for a Quid scheme applies and operates from Monday to Sunday. Children must be members.
Kids for a quid
All under 18's will be able to swim for free if they start swimming before 10am on Saturdays or swim for £1 during the advertised public swimming times. To benefit from this, under 18’s must hold a GLL membership card or a swimming registration card.

Over 60s
All adults 60 years of age and over who hold a Freedom Pass can take advantage of free swimming seven days a week at participating pools. To take advantage of this, residents must apply for a pay and play card, this will cost £6.50 for an annual card.
To apply for a pay and play card visit your local leisure centre today to find out more. Please bring along proof of age and address within the borough (e.g. utility bill, council tax bill, bank statement).
