Are you looking for a venue with a difference?
Vestry House Museum has a modern community room in the Museum gardens. The room is part of our new extension to the old eighteenth century building.
The room can be used for a variety of different functions including informal celebrations like parties, wedding receptions, naming receptions and anniversaries, or more corporate functions such as training sessions, lectures and conferences. Community groups and local societies are also very welcome to use the room for their meetings, open days and talks.
Practicalities
The room can hold up to 80 people for parties, talks or conferences. If you are planning a more practical training session or meeting, then 30-50 is a comfortable number depending on furniture requirements.
The room itself has three double glass doors that open out into the garden, which can be used by groups as a spilling out space or just to relax in. Adjoining kitchen facilities are available.
You will have access to the museum 'workhouse' garden, which displays plants known to be grown here in the eighteenth century. You can also stroll through our flower, herb and artefact gardens.
Access
The room is fully accessible and has an induction loop and accessible toilets. There are also accessible toilets.
The Museum is 5 minutes walk from Walthamstow Central (Rail / Tube / Bus). There is limited parking nearby.
Bookings
The room can be hired Tuesday - Sunday between 9am-10pm, subject to staff availability. A full list of prices and hire details are available by contacting us using the details below.
