'The geometry of [the] idealised objects whether prints, drawings, installations, simulations or book works is determined through the intertextuality of all the media used. Each object is invested with equal aesthetic value, and in that sense the work's presence is as much implied by the process as it is by the objects themselves.'
Helen Sloan, 1997
D Series
D Series, the most recent work, is an installlation assembled from pre-cast concrete units and configured as an aesthetic response to the light affecting a given space. The units vary in size, following the same format: a square panel, divided asymmetrically into two planes by a shallow step. Set at 45°, this narrow strip appears lighter or darker than the rest of the surface, indicating the position of the unit relative to any sources of light. the installation space determines the size and number of units, which are wall mounted or free standing.
