This imposing art deco building set in the Town Hall Complex, is ideal for weddings, conferences, dinner dances, concerts, exhibitions and other major events. Its superb acoustics also make it one of the UK's top venues for recording classical music. With its separate bars, balcony, and ticket office.
The Assembly Hall is Walthamstow's premier venue, and as such is often booked years in advance! To give yourself a fair chance of securing the date you want, it really does pay to think ahead, and plan your function as early as possible.

Monday - Sunday, 9am-1am.
Minimum hire period 8 hours.

At the north end of the borough is Chingford Assembly Hall. Set back from the main road, behind The Green, the Assembly Hall is ideal for dinner dances, concerts, exhibitions, and weddings. The separately bookable lounge is often used for coffee mornings, meetings and market research.
There are reserved parking spaces for blue badge holders.

- When do you want to hire the hall (date and starting and finishing times)
- What is the type of function – a wedding reception, concert, conference etc.
- How many people will be coming?
- Do you want a bar service?
- Is access required for people with disabilities?
- Are you staging an entertainment, cabaret or function with admission charges?
- Does your function need lighting and a public address system?

- Contact the booking office for any enquiries, to arrange viewings and to check availability
- You can only view the Halls by selected appointment times only.
- If you wish to provisionally hold a date we will reserve your date for 7 working days only. If you do not confirm the date by 5pm of the seventh day the date will become available for other customers to book.
- When you wish to confirm the function date contact the Booking Office on 020 8496 8018 and we will post you the booking form and conditions of hire. You have 14 working days to complete and return the form by post. We will contact you by telephone to take a credit or debit payment for the deposit (25% of hall hire charge) for the function date to be confirmed. Please note this payment is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
If we do not receive the return of the booking form with your deposit by the date specified your function date will be made available for other customers to hire.
