Waltham Forest Adult and Community Services help to provide housing to people in Waltham Forest as well as a range of services for those who are homeless or need support.

Ascham Homes manages Waltham Forest's Housing stock and provide tenancy services such as making repairs and collecting rent. They operate a full landlord service to the London Borough of Waltham Forest’s 10,600 tenants and 1,740 leaseholders.

Changes to Housing Benefit for some private sector tenants

The way the Council works out and pays Housing Benefit for some private tenants has changed. From April 2008, Local Housing Allowance helps with the cost of rent and will take the place of Housing Benefit for some private tenants.
