The Streetwatchers scheme invites residents to be an extra pair of eyes for the Council, reporting any environmental problems to us so that we can take the necessary action to put them right.

If you spot a problem as you go about your daily life, we ask you to report it to Waltham Forest Direct. We will log the problem and assign it a unique reference number. The information will then be passed on to the relevant Council department to investigate and put right.

How to report

Streetwatchers can report problems to the Council by completing the online form or emailing wfdirect@walthamforest.gov.uk or phone 020 8496 3000.

You can report any environmental problem you see in the borough, including faulty street lighting, potholes, overhanging vegetation, overflowing recycling points and fly tipping.

All Streetwatchers are offered induction training in relation to the scheme, and are invited to attend quarterly meetings where you will have an opportunity to meet with other Streetwatchers and Council officers to talk about your concerns.
