The enforcement of environmental offences on the highway or on land abutting the highway is carried out by the Highways Enforcement Team.
This includes fly tipping, dog fouling, littering, highway obstruction, dirty land e.g. front gardens full of rubbish, the sale or repairs of cars on the street, graffiti and flyposting.
Anyone witnessed carrying out such activities will leave themselves liable to receiving a Environmental Fixed Penalty Notice or a court appearance.
