Your 40
Your 40 is a new recycling campaign to encourage you to do your bit and recycle more.
The Government have told us we must be recycling a minimum of 40 per cent of our waste by 2011. The Council also has landfill targets that it must not exceed, and in 2011 for every tonne that is over the target we will be charged £150. These charges will be paid for out of your Council Tax.

Mixed recycling
Residents have told us they want recycling to be made easier, so Waltham Forest Council is trialling mixed recycling in parts of the borough from Monday 6 April.
