Saved UDP Policies
The Waltham Forest Unitary Development Plan (First Review) was adopted on 30 March 2006. Under the transitional arrangements of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, policies and proposals in this document were automatically 'saved' for a period of three years from adoption.
The Secretary of State has issued a Direction, saving nearly all policies contained in the UDP (First Review 2006) and allowing 5 policies and 22 site-specific designations (on the UDP Proposals Map) to expire.
Accordingly, for development control purposes only those policies that have been specified as part of the Direction issued by the Secretary of State now form part of the Waltham Forest UDP First Review.
